450 Gram fibreglass matting or 600G?

What's the difference? First off, both systems have the same waterproof capabilities, the difference between the two options are, the 450 or 600 number is the grams of fibreglass per square metre, so in a nutshell one is thicker than the other.

We use 450g for many types of roof such as Garages, Dormers, Porches, Extensions, Gutters. The 600g does take a bit more working as the thicker grade will require more fibreglass resin to soak into the matting. If you are new to fibreglass 450g is a lot easier to use and is recommended for beginners. Generally speaking 600g is used on larger more commercial roofs and on heavy foot traffic areas like Balconies or a walkway.
