A fluffy roller spreads and applies resin. A bubble-buster paddle roller (DECO roller) is used after the mat is laid to consolidate it against the wet resin and expel trapped air. Both are needed — the fluffy roller applies, the paddle roller consolidates.

Resin contamination on a topcoat roller causes drag marks and an uneven finish on the final surface. Keeping a separate set of clean rollers for topcoat avoids this problem entirely.

Match the bucket size to the batch size. A 3L bucket suits small batches on a cold day or detailed work where a short working time is needed. The 5.6L and 11L buckets suit larger batches on a typical installation. Do not mix more resin than can be used within the working time.

A telescopic extension handle allows roller application across a large roof area without repeated repositioning, which speeds up the laminate stage and reduces the risk of resin gelling before the mat is fully wet out.

Rollers and brushes contaminated with cured resin are not effectively reusable. Tools should be cleaned with acetone during the job while resin is still liquid. Roller sleeves are typically treated as single-use on larger roofs.
